They feel guilty for not playing with young children enough?
My daughter is 15 months and up to this point, we played all day, every day (I am a housewife). Lately though, she became very independent and does not want me to play with, which even move their toys away from me and then play by itself. I understand that this is their independence of learning, but I feel guilty because I did not really play together more, or even play together. If I try to sit with her in my lap and read a book that will maneuver to take away from the book and sit and read it herself. If I try to sit back down with me, she gives a full attack. I feel guilty about it and then, when playing by itself, I will try to find something you like reading or watching television, then I still feel more about that! Do not get me wrong, it is not antisocial, just very independent. What are the things we can do together I will not "crowd" and you can feel independent, but I can still participate?
