how to read Greek myths?
Tell me more about Greek mythology, but I'm not sure how. Is there an original source Myth? I've heard Lilian had to have in Greek mythology, are all the myths in this book? There are many books on this subject at Amazon, are summaries Myth? any help would be great, thanks!
There are a few of the "original source" if you want to call it. There Metamorphoses of Ovid … is a lot of myths, often with histories of less than ten pages, and are fairly easy to read, depending on the edition you get. Start with the history of creation. But my favorite is that of Orpheus and Eurydice. We then get the Iliad and the Odyssey. Greek gods do not have a book in itself, as the Bible …. is more like comedy characters …. have a lot of stories that cause in some way and therefore developed their characters. One day, Hades Athena could go crazy for him to get revenge … things like that. I also have a book on mythology, such as Edith Hamilton, and play with the myth of origin, because the way that myths down, which is a bit confusing. Do not just go "Well, there's Zeus, he is the father of Athena and a lot of other children …." But a myth is a book text. Hope this helps!
