Audio Books: How to download to your MP3 player free of complications
Portable MP3 players are the technology is only good for Cool playing songs downloaded from the net? Hardly. Offer an alternative and a useful complement to listen to audiobooks on cassette or CD.
What used to take days or weeks of waiting for the carrier to deliver your e-audiobooks on cassette or CD, at present no more than a few minutes. Just keep in mind the following instructions use Windows Media Player – version 10 as an example.
Suppose you're good to download files from the web in equipment.
It also assumes that you already have an MP3 player but do not know how to make this transfer more successfully.
1. If you use an earlier version Windows Media Player and the need to improve, navigate to Microsoft and download http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download. Follow the installation instructions.
2. Download MP3 books on your computer. It's a good idea to create a separate folder, for example, in "My Documents" and the name of "My audio books." This allows you to keep your audio book downloads in one place. Done that? Good.
3. Now connect your computer (a) for the MP3 player via the USB cable comes with your player.
4. Once the connection between the two is live, the computer displays that has found new hardware. If it says, just unplug everything in the above sequence and try again.
5. Are you working now? Okay. Open the Windows Media Player and open the MP3 file of audio books you want to copy. This will open your audio book on the principal display area of Windows Media Player.
6. Add audio book on the list of Windows Media Player sync.
7. Go ahead and click the Sync tab in Windows Media Player. It will take you to a drop-down arrow on the left side of the Sync tab. Be sure to select "Removable Disk (E)" or the name of your MP3 player as the source where it will back audio books.
8. You will see a screen with the option "Start Sync" yet? Very good! Go ahead and click it. Once you've done, Windows Media Player will let you know who is sending the audio book to your MP3 player.
9. Once the sync (or copying) audio book is complete, you can check to make sure you're on your MP3 player. See there? Excellent. One more step to go.
10. To complete this process successfully, Be sure to click on the icon of hardware in your PC (located in the system tray – in the lower right corner – usually a small green arrow icon) to "remove hardware".
Do not remove the USB cable until you get a clear signal saying "Safely Remove Hardware."
Remove the USB cable without taking this step may harm your computer and MP3 player.
Please note:
Are you using an earlier version of Windows Media Player? However, you can still follow the steps above. The only major difference is that instead of "Sync", will get "Copy" the menu. You can click and follow the same steps above to have your audio book copied to your MP3 player.
If you have a portable MP3 player that uses a file drag and drop instead of Windows Media Player sync, then the steps are easy to follow. Simply connect the player to your computer as above. Open the unit by clicking its name or the "Removable Disk (eg, E or F) on" My Computer. "
Then open the MP3 books folder (in case the backup) in a separate window. Keep both windows open side by side. Now, left click, hold and drag audio files to your portable player window. Once you release the left mouse button, there will be a transfer of archives instantly. Done? Now are your books on your MP3 player, ready for you to enjoy listening to it.
