Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos?
Hi all, I am about to start planning a trip to the middle of next year in Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos. I want to go for about a month, but do not know how to go about planning! I just returned from Bangkok, but was the only place so it was easy to reserve ticket. What is the best way to book flights and travel between the three cities? And nobody knows if you can get on a train? or if all have to make an airplane? (Not me like flying ..). Other tips for planning would be an outstanding support! Thanks!
It is not necessary to fly them all to be between Cam / Lao / Viet. However, in terms of time and effort is better at least for flights between La and Viet. There are no railway lines in Laos and Cambodia (at least not those who cross borders). You can go to Luang Prabang in Laos and take a bus in northern Vietnam – the position of Diem Bien Phu and Sapa there and then take the train to Hanoi. – Allow at least 7 / 8 days to reach Sapa Tho (and that's a long hard stressful day at an old bus with chickens and sheep Lao, etc.) but can be fun and certainly improve your patience when Back in the real world! Travel north and south of Viet is easy on the reunification train express, and you can hop on and off at will -. You can cross the Cambodia from near Chau Doc in the Mekong Delta is a boat to Phnom Penh if only going for 4 weeks, there will be a little too fast and you can not spend much time in one place, but it is doable!

Miss Saigon (Original 1989 London Cast) $19.98 It’s probably best known for raising the stakes for 1980s blockbuster shows by landing a helicopter on stage, but Miss Saigon is also a good show with good music. As a follow-up to their international smash Les MisĂ©rables, Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg (with an assist from Richard Maltby Jr.) adapted the tale of Madame Butterfly to the Vietnam War, realized here by the original 1989 … |

When We Were Kings $6.98 Decades ago, documentary filmmaker Leon Gast attempted to complete a feature about the 1974 “Rumble in the Jungle” championship bout between boxers Muhammad Ali and George Foreman in Kinshasa, Zaire. Sundry complications, though, held up the project until its release in 1996. It was well worth the delay. From Gast’s perspective of modern history, the six weeks Ali and Foreman were forced to spend … |

We Were Soldiers (Widescreen Edition) $3.10 Based on the book by Lt. Col. Harold Moore (ret.) and journalist Joseph Galloway, We Were Soldiers offers a dignified reminder that the Vietnam War yielded its own crop of American heroes. Departing from Hollywood’s typically cynical treatment of the war, writer-director Randall Wallace focuses on the first engagement of American soldiers with the North Vietnamese enemy in November 1965. Moore (pl… |

Tropic Thunder $5.98 It’s not really a knock to say that nothing in Tropic Thunder is funnier than its first five minutes, so sly that–especially for people watching in theaters–you don’t realize right away they are the opening minutes of the movie. This outrageous comedy begins with a series of fake previews, each introducing one of the main characters in the film-proper (not that there’s anything proper about thi… |

WWII in HD (DVD) $13.74 At first glance, the very concept of WWII in HD seems like an oxymoron. After all, isn’t the footage from back then nothing more than grainy black-and-white newsreel? And really, how much definition can be added to film that was shot more than 60 years ago? The answers: no, and quite a lot, actually. The quality of much of what is seen in the course of these 10 episodes (each around 45 minutes lon… |
