Having experimented with various ways to structure and write novels obtained from reading books and deployment strategies, which concluded described is useful and not bear fruit.
You must have an idea of what your story is and where it goes. If you write a detective story or novel, for example, you have a good idea that the murderer is a detective and mystery and the winner at the end. Similarly, in a novel of love, if you know the guy gets the girl, or if the woman is the man.

Develop a plan for the types mentioned above is not very difficult, as long as you have a good story and an interesting twist.
On the other hand, if you do not know, for example, you want to write a novel full of humor, may have a bit of a challenge on their hands. You must determine who is the hero or heroine is the main problem and the issue and the outcome. And we must combine these elements in an interesting, Funny how a good start. For example, in the movie "What About Bob?" they are almost immediately introduced the two main characters, Bob, who has a problem, and its newly appointed psychiatrist who ends up with Bob at the last minute, just before the holidays. And while the psychiatrist is not really part of Bob, Bob wants is available at your disposal.
If you thought that writing the story of a psychiatrist and his patient, you can try to describe the development of their history or or by completing a sequence of first character sketches. The moral is that if you know exactly how the story ends, you find that describe the rest is very effective, especially when I keep asking "What now?"
