What are the effects of child abuse?
I grew up with an alcoholic father throughout my childhood. He is verbally abusive to my mother every day. And the beat and stabbed her, many many times. He vows to use every day, calling it every name in the book. There is always something to criticize about it. It has been like this my whole life. Im 17 and I can not endure much longer. I have about eight months until they can move legally. What should I do and what effect this on the child?
I just read this cause tears to my eyes because it brings back memories. I had the same problem, but have also been victims of violence. It's something I'll remember for the rest of his life. What I did after I left, I tried to reach my mother but did not work because you know what they say "till death do us part."
