What would the youngest age to teach your child to read?
My child is 1 year and I'm in the introduction to reading books for him every night. I want to become a good reader, what age should I start teaching?
Read to him every night is wonderful! This is the best thing to do at this age. If you show interest in about 2 ½ years trying to pre Hooked on Phonics. Do not push, have fun and see if it is ready. Otherwise, lay off and try again later. Reading to your child every night is the best thing to bring playback. When it starts to "pretend read" to himself and then take the next step.
