When libraries cease to exist?
I think it will cease to exist at some point, but I am considering a 20-something to get a title master's in library science. I think iPads, Kindle, electronic books (ebooks mostly) will replace physical books, and accessible from anywhere to show a laptop, IPAD, whatever the screen of your property. People working in the library seems to be "the intermediary" whose job no longer need to exist, b / c people go to the library is able to audit the books and materials themselves. So my question is if it really were me, and is considering a career working in a school library (Ready to work anywhere from a primary school to university), the degree of security of this decision Is in the long run for my life? I remember Barnes & Noble and Borders are slowly going out of business, so maybe this will help libraries? discuss.
