Comic books for the new generation?
Its 2010 and my boys are getting into comic books. I want to find comic books that are new stories for 2010. Batman, x-men, supermen etc . . . are there grandfathers comic books. What new exciting comic books are out there for kids and teenagers that are 2010 not 1995 or even 196. Can I get some good modern era comic book titles that have good story lines that have the potential to last until 2020 without rehashing the same tired or retired superheros.
That is hard to do considering mainstream American comic book companies just can not let go of the greats. I can say for Marvel that they have tried new, fresh characters and concepts but they don’t last. Usually get canceled before even 20 issues. Check out “The Runaways”, newer characters, different storyline than usual, started back in 2003 and is still going. Will it last until 2020? I don’t know. The characters that their grandfather knew still get the most attention because they’re what the fans want and what brings in the money.
That is all I have.
