The literature of fairy tales suitable for reading to young children?
For example, I bought a book for my two years and every night I read a story to him. Last night I read "The Little Match Girl", which is about a girl who is poor and is sent to Saint-Sylvestre in the middle of the sale of cold parties to his abusive father. Is dying of cold, but was afraid to go home because no match has been sold and not be beaten. So stay in lighting a match in cold to keep warm. The first game, which plans a Christmas tree, and then burn the second, which is a party (who is hungry right now), then he jumps, the third, he sees his grandmother died and begs her not to leave behind her for the child hangs inevitably to death. Is it harmful for a child? I do not think my son fully understood, but stories like this are good for children. Do they teach appreciation for what they have?
This story is appropriate for an older child. Good books for children two years are those that can bind and are short enough to keep your attention. Great images light are also a necessity because they act as a point of discussion for the child. A great book for children is "Hairy Maclary from Donaldson's Dairy. Illustrations are fantastic and repeats a refrain. Other good books are those of Nick Sharratt (You choose, Pirate Pete, pants) and Janet and Allan Ahlberg (Each Fishing Plum Pera)
