books (ideally fiction) focuses on the disease?
I'm looking for some good books about a person or persons who suffer from a illness, not mental illness … not exclusively, anyway. if they are a little unbalanced due to illness and isolation is just perfect. tuberculosis, typhoid, fever, the strange mystery illness, fever, anything with a bit of Gothic charm. stylistically is romantic / melancholic / nostalgic or dark / Graphics / esque horror … or a mixture of both. memoirs, historical novels, the ghosts of children / young adult fiction, and hospitals are enchanted well. really anything remotely related I'll check. my list so far (short): The Magic Mountain, The Secret Garden, essentially, the sick, mysterious, isolated Moody – GO>!
