Nurses! Is this a good idea?

When I spent much time on the ground of Oncology, Children's Hospital I was surprised and saddened by the way these families live literally in the hospital room for weeks and months your child at a time. It is very isolating, as well as the devastation of having a sick child. When the son of my friend was there to get food from outside the hospital was difficult and costly, but a mood lifter for them. I know is a small thing, but I was ready to go to local restaurants offered at the hospital first and create a book of menus for the oncology floor and see if I could negotiate discounts for patients and obtain donated gift certificates. Would it be useful? Who would go to the hospital to suggest this? All other small things that can make a difference for these families? I would appreciate your expert advice. Thanks.

Wow, what a fantastic idea! We were one of the families living in a hospital room for a long time, when my baby was leukemia and bone marrow. The bright spot of my day brought me to get something for lunch. It's very nice of you to think about it.
