good French books?
I speak/understand French fluently and have been taking extended French all throughout school. Anyways, I’ve read many French novels in school but most of them aren’t all that interesting. My favourite was the simple book, “Aller Retour.”
I’m looking for some interesting French books, similar to either ~teen books~ or murder mysteries (ahah) or sad dramatic stories.
Classic stories are nice, but I’ve already read like Les Trois Mousquetaires and other Alexandre Dumas books in school.

Gustave Flaubert’s Madame Bovary , Guy de Maupassant short stories(conte) at which he is universally considered a Master Wordsmiths , Emile Zola’s Nana ,La Bete Humaine (and the film – a must see film with Jean Renoir and Simone Simon) , Honore’ de Balzac , Simon De Beauvoir’s The Second Sex ,et.al.
