Wii (Wired) Sensor Bar problems with laptop…?
So I`ve connected my Wii to a laptop (a net book) via a Dazzle video interface… I get video and audio through V L C media player. The problem is that I can`t place the sensor bar on top of the net book screen. I know, even if I could, since I want to stay close to the screen cause it is a net book small screen, I have to place it somewhere further. So I did put it on a desk which was higher than the table that the net book was placed on, but the cursor on the screen does not work most of the time, while sometimes it is impossible to control. How can I fix this? Please help.

I’ll give you a hint…
The wiimote is the part with the actual SENSOR. The bar itself is just two infra-red LED’s. That little black part at the front of the wiimote? That’s what actually sees the sensor bar. It’s also very sensitive to other sources of Infra-Red radiation…meaning that the monitor might be screwing it up for you.
What you should try doing is going into the wiimote’s calibration settings and take a look at what you see. There should be two side-by-side white dots…these are the two LED’s on the wiimote. If there’s a big giant glowing circle beneath them, then the monitor is causing interference, and it probably won’t work. All you can do is turn down the sensitivity and see if you only get the sensor bar…if you can’t, it won’t work.
