What vampire book/movie/tv show says that vampires instinctively count things?
They say that if you are being chased by a vampire and throw a bunch of rice or grain, they will stop and count it, giving you some time to get away. I just can’t remember where this was from, I want to say True Blood?
It was in one of the Dracula 2000 movies…not the first but the second. And the belief is not originally a Vampire one–well, depending on how deep you dig into Vampires. Most Vampire lore revolves around Demons. Superstitions often believed that Vampires were demons, however, they never used the term ‘Vampire’ itself.
There was a blood drinking type of Demon though that was hung up on counting things. of what culture, I don’t remember.
