Can anyone suggest a good book about the Holocaust?

Which shows why God punished the Jews. I ask because it is and has been since for some time that the rabbinic movement believes that God used Hitler as a punishment in the same way it used Bablonians King Nebuchadnezzar. The issue is not the intention to offend, but rather ask, are these the right rabbi? What do you think?
