Service of the United States Submarine World War II?
I saw several films about the Second World War in the Pacific recently. However, For me, the service that has done most to win the war in the Pacific was the U.S. submarine service. U.S. submarines sank almost the entire load Japan and about half of its warships. It is because of the submarine fleet that Japan could not get raw materials to replace lost aircraft carriers at Midway and other battles during the war. We know that U.S. submarines sank more troops and supply ships were sent to reinforce Guadalcanal, Iwo Jima and Saipan, and if these vessels were obtained through these battles can be shown very differently. It is for the U.S. submarine service Japan could not get more planes in the Philippines and air power to the battle of Leyte Gulf might have been different. Do you think the U.S. submarine service receive the recognition it deserves in movies modern books on World War II in the Pacific?
Yes, the subs are what really won the war in the Pacific. The fact that the finish JIN using submarines as cargo shows how the Japanese supply lines were damaged. The Japanese knew it was the submarines that have been beaten, were those without food.
