Is mystery shopper job safe or could it be a scam?
I have just applied for one. But I am unsure whether that company could be scam or safe.
I have been asked to deposit a check sum of £2000 and asked to wait it to be cleared. after then they have mentioned that i need to arrange a booking to pick up funds from the deposited money so i can recieve my salary faster. It mentioned that the deposited money will need to be paid out as some percentage for the processing fee and rest to the customer company whose evaluation has to be done by me.
So ultimately They r giving me £2000 and asking to clear the check and give back the same money….go for mystery shopper job and then get paid for the job.
I read in news after googling about scams that if the check bounces and whatever money u used, according to law I will need to pay it back. How do i know that company is legal and safe or just another scam???
It is a complete scam! Do not pay! Shops and chains employ their own workers to do this job and it is not their sole job they are market researchers etc who just get given tasks and they go to shops that are far away from their location.
Selfridges does a ligitamate job offer but it is for one off cases in their shops – check their website for details.
