What books to appear before the Lord of the Rings?
What books talk about all the stories before The Lord of the Rings? I di account of seeing the Lord of the Rings. Why not Treebeard Saura used to walk the forest Fengorn. Why not love Elves and Dwarves? What happened to all the midgets? Who are the Dunedain Rangers? Where is this land that the Elves sail back in? What are all stories before the Lord of the Rings? Because I know it's only a small part of the whole thing. I know theres: The Hobbit and The Children of Hurin.
In As I know, the prequel to The Lord of the Rings is for The Hobbit. I had read rumors that Tolkien had written some stories that takes prequel but found no evidence of that, and have never heard of his son in any publication. I think we were destined to accept the story on its own merits, and do not live too long to very pertinent questions. It probably would have made for nice stories, but with the size of The Lord of the Rings as an epic, who knows how long or expansion, which would have been to try to expand all the subplots to develop.
