I need help figuring out paypal and selling an e-book online… (see below)?
I am building a website in which I plan to sell a book in PDF format. I have the book in PDF already, and I also have a Paypal account I can use to manage sales, accept payments etc. I just can’t figure out how to link my book to paypal, and make it possible for people to purchase a copy.
I’ve seen the buy now buttons, etc. But I know nothing about html code, and linking stuff like that. Currently I am using yahoo geocities pagebuilder software to build the site.
If there is anyone out there with expertise on the subject please send an answer or send a message to me personally. I would be willing to offer a small commision if this site becomes succesful with your help.
Using the Paypal site, first go to “Merchant Services.”
Under the Create Buttons section, click “Buy Now.”
Enter the item name and price, then click “Add More Options” at the bottom of the screen.
In the “Successful Payment URL” field, enter the URL to your PDF file that you uploaded to your website and click Create Button Now.
You will then copy the HTML code into your website.
Feel free to contact me if you need some help with the uploading and pasting portions.
This is not the most secure way to do this, but it’s the simplest. You’ll need to keep the URL to your PDF file secret.
