title of the book from your childhood?
I read a book when I was 10 years (1976) about a group of boys who found an old book on a secret club. He then formed the club goes through the trials in the manual. All I remember is the end of the book when the kids have to fight a monster the backyard (which happens to be a frightening shade cover) and the father is revealed to be the leader of the former club that drafted the manual. I think his name Golden Eagle Club. I would like the author's name and title of the book.
