the best work of Clive Barker? Why?
Clive Barker is one of the best minds in fiction. None of his stories are predictable, mainly because they are so far away. But they are not very far from being pleasant or downright annoying. Some of my favorite stories came from books of blood (especially "Carrera Hell). What imagination!
I'm starting my obsession Barker. I like "Hellraiser" and "Candyman" was great, but only read two of his books. "Imaj" "The Damnation Game" and I can not wait for the Books of Blood, but could not see how to "Imaj". I was no fan of TMD, but wow. I do not know what to say about "Imaj". It just blew my mind. I think that is outsourced some chapters – there was panic in the work of one person make your own. There are many twists and turns that goal switches, the character turns … The list continues indefinitely. I think the way I best describe it like this: A book by Dan Brown is like a game of table tennis quickly. "Imaj" It was like watching eight players in an octagonal table a dozen balls hitting seven different ways. Here, Robert Langdon. The first chapter hit me in the face so hard that I was too surprised at the attention it hit me in the face. O Pah Pie "(probably spelled that wrong and do not like) character hardcore hit. Barker has created not only a world, but half a dozen. You have the Earth and its four sister domains. Update of the Earth and the fifth domain – the can not know anything because the person comes back to him – And we still have three. But so sweet in their history – so does that count as another world. So Judith … Pie and the fact … and Judith, the former brother in law … and another man chased and checks it strange beetle. And what about those people in worship? And then the emperor and his wife. Barker swear must have a birth certificate of all the characters in this book. More than one once told me: "I want to know what happens, but I do not want to end it." Then I looked and realized he had over 700 pages to go. Hope you do not do this in a movie unless deliveries of "Roots." If I were on a desert island with 5 pounds, "Imaj" would be 3 of them. I do not want to say more. The more I talk more than reminiscent of his brilliance.
