The great achievement and popularity of electronic eBook, the new leader in the book industry,would probably make Gutenberg come back to life and see for himself the wonders it can make.
Aside from the innovations of technology that made the industries of motion pictures, videogames, and music upside down, the technologies that would offer digital downloading incorporated with reader eBook have made a great change on how we as human read and learn. It seems that not only man is capable of evolving but also other things such as this.
But the question that should be asked is what really electronic eBookis and how it really works?
We should probably know that electronic books are of existence from the very start when personal computers also exist. In addition, there is someone who has decided and thought of copying books’ contents which later on were turned into a text file that makes it possible to be shared to other users of computer. By the time that technology gave birth to internet, it also paved the way when books were scanned and have been exchanged illegally to torrents, newsgroup, and other services which cater file swapping. If the PDF system will be used for the presentation of electronic eBooks, the contents of the electronic books are read on personal digital assistants or the computer. And on the very same time of the proliferation of electronic books, many people also compiled all the royalty free books that are made available online. In this project, it is then called “Gutenberg”.
The main publishers of the said book have seen that there are benefits that the readers and the publishers alike can get. On the part of the readers, of course they are able to read their books that they want to read for free. On the other hand, the publishers can now publish, reproduce, and release their works without too much cost. Side by side, the readers on one side and the publisher on the other have the same benefits derived with the use of the internet. Finally, it has taken its toll in the achievements of internet nowadays.
Conversely, technology was also able to dramatically evolve especially when it comes to the production of screens with better contrast, less consumption of energy, and more especially improved viewing capacities. With such instance, it is really unavoidable for someone to make a gadget that would cater to the use of reading books.
In the traditional books that we read, electronic books are also required to be presentable so that readers will be enticed to read. This is possible provided there is a good resolution and good contrast of the screen. Because of this, there are many people who have innovated new things when it comes to the proliferation of electronic books just like the Kindle Reader which is a new version. This new things include wireless connectivity and as well as would allow us to download books online, contents’ synchronization across newspaper, multiplatform and other sources of information online.
