Removing certain play lists from the main itunes library?
I usually set my itunes main library to shuffle to listen to my music. However, I want to add some ebooks and I don’t want them included when I put my music on. I’m a bit itunes-impared, so can anyone tell me if it’s possible to make a playlist of my audiobooks that won’t show up in the main library?
The simplest way is to right click on the track (or a bunch of tracks by using ctrl or shift), go to get info, then to options tag and click on skip when shuffling.
Do you already have your ebooks in the audiobooks section? If not, you can send them there if you want them out of the way. I think it involves right clicking on the track, pressing to create AAC version, then going into the folder where the tracks are, changing extension from .m4a to .m4b and then readding to library, the deleting the broken tracks from the itunes library file. I’m sure there has to be an easier way out there though, that’s just the only way I have ever done it.
EDIT: I just found this article, but haven’t read it, of how you can turn the tracks into an audiobook much easier if you have ITUNES 8
