The PSP has real buttons for gaming. It has a smaller screnn though.
The iPad is better for reading, web browser, and some classes of games, as well as full screen video.
You get video on the iPad by buying it at the iTunes store, or importiung it through iTunes on the computer.
For the PSP, I beieve it is as simple as copying the properly formatted files to a memory stock.
