What do the dotted lines on the boundaries of the countries mean?
Can someone tell me what the dotted lines in this map represent?

You mean like between Saudi Arabia and Yemen? The boundaries are not in “dispute”. Its more like neither country really cared. They call it the “Empty Quarter”. But this is an old map (in spite of the “2002″ in the title). The border has been agreed to since the year 2000.
The borders of Israel are touchy subject of course.
