Is Christianity to blame for the modern Conservative-American mindset?
These people use a book written over 2000 years ago to guide their life, their decisions, thoughts and morals… If there was no Christianity would as many people be conservative?
Or would conservatives be a completely different kind of people? Who don’t try to ban every controversial scientific study or discovery and judge others based on the rules a specific society of people wrote for their community over 2000 years ago, who are less paranoid about the world and stop bringing up dead conspiracy theories, such as every other end of the world prophesy, the illuminati and the free masons?
I’m not sure how one links Christianity to Conservative. I don’t see the relationship that way. I actually think Christianity is quite liberal and liberating. I think conservativism in politics is a good thing. I think too much government is actually what’s destroying America (along with the greed and belief that we deserve and are entitled to a life of luxury and ease). But you probably didn’t really want my opinion anyway since I don’t agree with you.
