Craft ideas from young toddler to parents??
I teach children between the ages of 12-18 months and we’re looking for something free, hopefully printable since we’re running out of time…for our children to give to their parents for Valentine’s Day next week! My co-teacher wanted to buy small 3″ board books, but we can’t find any for a reasonable price, so we thought we’d make one. I thought we could just get online and print one out. Just wondering if anyone has any great ideas. We’d like it to be small so it will fit down inside one of those cellophane treat bags along w/ a banana, small bag of cheerios, and a small box of raisins. Thanks for any ideas!
Use paint to make a hand or footprint with a sweet poem…something about being tiny and small for a short time. The poem could be above or below the foot/hand print.
Try this: (changing hand to foot or vice versa)
Sometimes you get discouraged,
Because I am so small.
I’m always leaving finger prints
on furniture and walls.
But every day,
I’m getting big,
And soon I’ll be so tall,
And all my little fingers,
Will be so hard to recall.
So here’s a little handprint,
You’ll remember with a smile,
On Valentine’s day, 2007,
When I was just a child.
