free books on greek mythology
WHAT IS THE POINT IN MYTHOLOGY?

I am posting this cuz im doing mythology homework and have hours more to do… but im procastinating. Anyways, what is the point in reading 3 books on it and doing 3 months of it when theres way more important things to do! Its okay to learn about the greeks and maybe even read a myth or too, but why do 10 months on it? Like seriously its not even knowledgeable it is just.. pointless.
If you wanna study mythology, you shouldnt have to learn in school u should learn on ur own time or get trained or w/e, but why take up school?
I MEAN REALLY there not real, and why is it that we cant study christianity and stuff yet we have to study mythology? BAH well i think i made my point feel free to disagree or agree!

Ever heard of the quote ” if you don’t learn from history, you are doomed to repeat it?” Just take Napoleon and Hitler. Napoleon tried to take Russia and failed. Than Hitler tried and failed. If he had studied the past, things may have changed.
Mythology is Greek history in story form. Oedipus, the writings of Socrates and Plato. They are So interesting.
What about the story of the father and son making wings of feathers and wax. Doesn’t that relate today about getting too close to harms way?
I personally loved philosophy and Mythology. The Trojan horse was So cool. Doesn’t it still have meaning now? I do. Don’t take everything for granted. Be careful of gifts from foes. Electra was intresting too
Even if you don’t like it.
Having Religions in school is a big problem not to mention would create a bee hive of problems.
Feel the way you wish to feel but I think any mythos is intresting to study. I hope you do well on your paper(s)
