Adobe Illustrator-will it work for illustrating a children’s book?
I bought the Adobe suite years ago for Photoshop & Premiere Pro. I know both of these programs well. I’ve used InDesign a few times to help my sister create a newspaper for her class. I think InDesign would work for pasting in photos & text…but I do not own that program. I DO own Illustrator & wonder if it will work for my children’s book I am writing. I want cartoon-ish looking characters. Simple drawings w/ vibrant colors. Is this what Illustrator is for? Or should I free-hand draw the images, scan them, and combine with text in Photoshop or MS Word? Thanks!
thanks Huma. I assumed, but wanted to know it’s the right program, before I upload it to my already overloaded computer.
Totally. Illustrator, hence the name, is for illustrating…you can draw in any virtual medium from charcoal strokes to paint strokes. You can also use text with the fonts available in MS Office. It would definitely fit the bill. No need to make it a 3 step process..Illustrator is the shit.
