free comic books reviews
A question of the comic book 2000AD?

Do you have a preferred artist?
Feel free to post an example of their work
(I’m a big fan of Pat Mills http://www.2000adreview.co.uk/reviews/2010/1670/abc-warriors.jpg )

I think Simon Bisley’s work for 2000AD was brilliant. Especially his early stuff, in black and white, like “ABC Warriors”. And when he got inked up for “Slaine”, that was some of the best artwork they ever had. Also Glenn Fabry was good, especially in “Slaine the King”. Now both these artists are doing painted covers for DC, and Dark Horse. Simon Bisley’s art in “Judgement on Gotham”, the first Judge Dredd / Batman crossover was hilarious. John Hicklenton was good, too. Nemesis the Warlock never looked better. I liked Ian Gibson too, purely on the strength of “Halo Jones”. Beautiful story too. Carlos Ezquerra will always have a special place in my heart because he was the first to draw “Judge Dredd”. Brian Bolland’s covers were brilliant, especially “Brit Cit Babes”
I’ll paste a link in to a load of Bisleys Painted stuff as soon as I upload it.
