When I speak to groups, sometimes I want to express my dissatisfaction with the college enrollment doubled community. In our state, students can access this opportunity for free, and is called "Running Start. Very popular with homeschoolers, I am often asked why I am reluctant to this such programs.
Perhaps some stories from our own experience of double entry will help explain:
- Professor Tournesol fell the F-bomb every sentence. (We have chosen a school teacher who graduated at home instead – ended up coming to our prom. Great guy.)
- Professor physics is used to describe the principles of physics civil positions. (Drawing – who do not, but my friend.)
- music textbook says, "I to build one yourself, because I learned to get the name of God "and asked the class to say the mantra of every day" I'm fine, I'm big, I am God. "(We refuse to take this class.)
- French courses showed movies with naked people of culture. (No-go.)
- classroom teacher and program Well intervention, but another student gave a speech on religion to sex (no joke).
- There were no courses in economics that have level my students.
- Political science classes were taught by a Marxist. (He wrote a beautiful letter of recommendation, yes.)
My feelings about the dual enrollment is that it is often a "Rated R", the environment, even when the teacher's control and curriculum. If I could make my life, I wish I had done two years of education in the home of the university, not just one year. I would like a dual enrollment jump altogether.I do not know your family, your children, or even community college – if you are in a much better position to make a decision that I am. Trust yourself!
Dual enrollment is extremely popular with homeschoolers, but I want parents to think and weigh the pros and cons, rather than follow the crowd. In speaking with those who came before you, hear the "but …." They say things like: "We had a wonderful experience, but …." Listen to what follows, and decide what is best for you.
support Christian groups on campus are a great help to encourage their children to participate in groups on campus. It also uses the system peer, so that students are in groups in class.
We chose dual enrollment because we were aiming our children toward college. It might not have been the best choice for us, but we were trying. Failing to aim their students toward college is one of the “5 Biggest Mistakes Parents Make When Homeschooling High School. Learn how to avoid all 5 mistakes in my free e-mail mini-course.
