good books to help me clear my head like a black man in trouble?
Im 21 and have a jail record I can find it prison.Where a book to help me get started and inspire myself to stop lazy.Im be in school, but find excuses for not seeking work and get up and things.I want better myself what are the books that can help me open my eyes and live.
Although I'm Caucasian, I found Fallen Angels by Walter Dean Myers to be an inspiring book that I read when I was 14 (I 16 now), can be a good choice. This is the Vietnam War and the main character African-American, I could help, as it represents realistic struggles and difficulty of the soldiers (especially minorities) have struggled could survive.It be able to inspire to work harder for you.
