Toddlers and head injuries?
Hi, I know it's a fairly common thing for a child hit his head, but I just know when to take your child to doctors in a head injury? I wonder what my son had a head injury today and cut his head open (any thing that is the blood that flows deep and great opportunity, but still apretty), had his afternoon sleep and wake up now appears to be largely normal with him. seems be a little shaky, but this might be what you normally do and more importantly he hit his head. anyway I do not know much about head injuries and none of the books I have mentioned more about them just to keep an eye on him. That's what I'm doing and so far so good, but it would be helpful for me, if for for future i knew more about brain injury and time to take a document or even if I need it again. any help or any reading would cool. thanks
1. If you have vomited from the head injury … or the fact that very soon … go to the hospital. 2. Search eyes. If students (circle central black) appear to be unequal in size … go to the hospital. 3. If you play and act normally … There is nothing to worry. 4. If you become dizzy or their movements appear jerky clumsy, or "weird" … go to the hospital. 5. If he starts making strange noises – sounds not normal children, but the screams, groans, etc that are unusual … go to the hospital. 6. If the temperature is high or low … go to the hospital. 7. After each head injury, take the nose and ears of blood and clear fluids. If a liquid clear in the ears – go immediately on the phone and call an ambulance! Then put the ice around the boy's head by any suitable means. This is a good time to panic. clear fluid in the nose … in their toes – the friction between the fingers … if it becomes rubbery, no problem … if not – are treated as if you had ears. Blood in the ears or nose should also lead to a visit to the doctor for a small child.
