What is the best way?
Hi all, I am bilingual, and made the mistake of not teaching my kids (who are 9 and 7) my second language. Now I really want to teach them what I think would greatly benefit from it. My question is, what is the best way to go about teaching my children a new language? People say: "All your talk using only the" other language, but I think it really will not work because it only knows a few words? Should I use books, CD .. I do not really know? I really appreciate some advice on how I can break, so that they can learn well. Thank you very much in advance for any offering help or advice. Sorry, the language is Greek. I thought about taking them to school on Saturday, but it is miles away, got up at 5 am be there by 9. Furthermore, we see that side of my family here and there.
until the age of 13 years or so most of the children is still very easy to learn a language, if you start talking to them. and only teach them they can learn their mother tongue. point objects, say their names, saying the same phrases in both languages. repetition is what will be the key to learning and memory of words and phrases. then hired a tutor to study the grammar and reading and writing aspects of language.
