The Far West was the age of legends. Is a period that has a romantic connotation and leaves a deep impression. The reference period is just after the civil war in 1865.

The importance of Zane Grey, is the fact that brought the wild west for all time to come. It was certainly a talented writer who will remain forever be remembered as a writer teacher.
