Good news about space battles?
Does anyone know of any good books that offer spectacular spaceship battles of capital? (Techniques is a plus). I loved the battles of the Halo series of books (especially the fall of Reach). No Star Wars if you please, (I see something new) and not Star Trek (unless it is a good book / series) Read Ender's Game
Kevin Anderson Seven Suns Saga is pretty decent space combat. Nothing ranks stationed there to Michael Stackpole and Aaron Allston contributions to the Star Wars universe. I remember a book or two by CJ Cherryh had to do with the job search and space combat I think the book that I think is Hellburner. I think if you liked the fight scenes in the Halo books, you can enjoy books X-Wing by Stackpole and Allston. Halo is based on video games – the books are also the Ala-X based on the videogame of the same name. I have not found any science fiction writers who have the capacity to assume this. Most dark space combat. Another series comes to mind – Wing Commander. Was filmed and based on a game well. I never read the books.
