off the books jobs employer
Should I tell my employer that I have a week off in September, before or after I'm hired?

I'm looking for a job and I have a cruise scheduled for September. He was booked for 2 months and I'm not going to cancel, even if it means not getting the job.

Before, before, before. Be honest with your employer. What a great way to start a relationship with them. You've found the job now, so it is unrealistic to have plans that will not be canceled. Be quick, however, no great excuses. Say: "I do not usually do, but I think it's fair to say that I have to take a week off in September. I travel commitment can not be canceled. "What really saying goes:" I'm honest and straightforward and do not plan anything to hide. "You're Hired!
