off the books jobs employers
What do you say to a job interview to the needs of the first week out?

My g / f received an unexpected gift of a ticket plane to go see someone. This trip did not work, but the ticket is not refundable, that comes to me. The problem is, she wants to drop from 29 August until Thursday after Labor Day. The week of 29 is when I'm supposed to be starting a new job interview about an hour. What should I tell my potential employer? The flight is already booked and can not make a copy of it now. I need to be there to pick it up at the airport. But I will not be overlooked for employment. I am a candidate qualified for the job, given what I have done the same kind of work before. Is that I should wait a week to start.

Let them know that due to a trip and planned, you can start (insert date here)
