The authors want to be paid for their work. (Only in very rare cases an author has a Work by the network for free). There is no legal way to read books copyright free. If you find something on the web, will be someone who does, or pirated be, what can cause problems if you use it. I'd buy one or the other (try to use the libraries if buying new is too rich for you) or borrow for a library. Many books are available through interlibrary loan. Many libraries have electronic readers one kind or another, and perhaps his book on the subject. That's another thing to check (this is not on the team, however). wl.
