Three reasons: 1. The best way for artists to draw figures of the muscle is wear socks or anything. Superheroes would not be very good if clothing would hide his muscles and frankly laughable sight (except Wonder Woman). 2. Meshes can use their superhero costumes in the clothes for a quick change. This gives the writer the opportunity to have a credible superhero be there for any crime. 3. When super-heroes appeared around Superman, Batman, back, etc in the 1930's, the circus strong men and wrestlers have been popular examples superhuman feats. Often wore stickers "Trunks looking speedometer" exterior. Thus, when superheroes were created, this method was adapted. You will notice that most of the heroes that were created after the popularity of the strong men who have died without socks, but the logs out as Spider-Man. Dan Fuzzy
